One hundred acres of rural land at Warrandyte South, about thirty minutes from the city. A barn façade for ceremonies, a hillside setting, vineyards and paddocks, and the venue's own wine made on site. This is what a day there is actually like.
The Farm trades on genuine scale. A hundred acres gives you real variety within one property — vineyard, paddock, hillside and homestead — rather than one good backdrop repeated all day. The trade-off is that a bigger property means more decisions about where and when, which is worth planning rather than leaving to the day.
The venue's signature ceremony spot — standing in front of the barn house, with its weathered timber giving a rich, high-contrast backdrop that a plain lawn or marquee can't match. It's the single most recognisable shot from a wedding here.
An alternative ceremony setting with views across the property. Elevated ground changes the light and the background completely from the Barn Façade — worth considering both before locking in a spot, since they photograph as two genuinely different venues rather than variations on one.
Exclusive access to The Farm Wines, grown and made on site, plus open paddock for portraits away from the reception crowd. This is where the rustic, rolling-countryside photographs come from — genuinely different terrain to a manicured garden venue.
Seats up to 110, or 200 for a cocktail-style event. Warm, homestead-style rather than formal — a room that suits string lights and long tables better than a strict seating plan.

Decide Barn Façade or hillside early, not on the day. They give genuinely different photographs, and the run sheet — where the ceremony sits relative to the reception space — changes depending on which you pick.
Budget real time for paddock portraits. The open land is the venue's best feature for photographs, but reaching it and moving between spots on a working farm takes longer than it would on a compact, single-building venue. Build in more transition time than you'd expect.
Rural ground means rural footwear considerations. Paddocks and hillside are not the same walking surface as a manicured lawn. Worth a quiet word to the wedding party about footwear if portraits are happening away from the hard surfaces.
The golden hour reaches further here. With open land in most directions, low sun has more to work with than it would in a walled garden. Save time near sunset for the paddocks or the hillside rather than only the Barn Façade.
